The SYNC feature shows both the name and frequency. you can easily view the name of the channel and its frequency.
DB20-G has 9 extra repeater channels allow you enter multiples of the same frequencies that differ only by CTCSS or DCS codes. which save a big time.
You don't need to look down or fiddle with the base to change channels when you're on the trails and either the driver can easily take control of it.
