No. You can use app alerts. an SD card (not included). or choose our optional cloud plan. Any of these three options works.
Why does the app show picture alerts instead of video alerts?
You can switch between picture and video alerts in the app under Motion Alert settings.
Do the wireless outdoor security cameras only work with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi?
Yes. only 2.4GHz is supported. If you're using a dual-band router. temporarily turn off the 5GHz band during setup to prevent connection issues.
Can the S1 security camera record all the time?
No. To save battery. S1 only records when motion is detected and stays in standby mode when there's no movement.
Why is there a rainbow stripe on my camera's live view screen?
This happens when Privacy Mode is turned on. You can turn it off or set privacy zones in Privacy Settings.
